For some time, bahn.guru has shown a notice instead of its search. The project says the railway's unofficial interface was replaced at the end of 2024. Work on a volunteer-built update continues, but no date is given.
The fare calendar you were looking for
Enter an origin and destination to compare up to two weeks of saver fares at once. The lowest-priced day, typical fare and lowest-priced weekday appear above the calendar; selecting a day opens its connections.
Keep watching prices
Choose a travel day and the app can alert you when it finds a new low. For flexible dates, you can set a price limit instead. Background checks run when the operating system gives Bahnsparer time; there is no fixed interval.
Why Bahnsparer is an app
Bahnsparer requests fares directly from your device. A central website would send every search from the same data-centre address, which the railway can block.
Bahnsparer is available for für iPhone, iPad, Android, macOS, Windows und Linux. The app is free to use, requires no Bahnsparer account and stores data on your device first. On iPhone and iPad, selected app data can be synced through iCloud. Every connection brings fare, journey time and historical reliability together.
Limitations
Bahnsparer does not sell tickets. The booking button opens the selected connection with its provider: DB receives the travellers and BahnCard, while FlixTrain, Westbahn, Leo Express and GoVolta open their own booking flow. The price shown there is binding. The calendar runs to the end of the currently bookable timetable period.
